The Arlington Bunny Hop 5K Fun Run/Walk is in need of outgoing individuals and organizations to be part of this special event.  We sincerely appreciate your help in making the 1st Annual Arlington Bunny Hop a success.  Volunteers are the heart and soul of every successful race.  If you are interested in volunteering for the Arlington Bunny Hop, please contact the Race Director (ArlingtonBunnyHop@gmail.com) and someone from the committee will be in touch with you.  Thanks in advance for your service!  Volunteer opportunities include:

Race Preparation:
Pubilicity/Communications:  As required after February 15.  These volunteers will be assigned to an area including roughly 100 homes in Ashton Heights or Lyon Park.  Volunteers will insert flyers in the mailboxes or storm doors in these neighborhoods.  We will try to assign volunteers to an area that includes their homes.

Race Week:
Packet Pickup - Report times are the same as Packet Pickup times (4-hour shift) including Race Day 6:30 to 7:30 a.m.  Includes handing out bibs and t-shirts to participants and taking manual registrations.
Site Coordinator:  Will check-in volunteers and serve as a site/facility trouble shooter.  Will be required to be present for at least one Packet Pickup time and race day report time is 6:30 a.m.

Race Day (All volunteers will be finished by 9:30 a.m.):
Setup: Report time is 6:30 a.m.  Duties include setting up tables, signage, barricades, refershment area, race course signs and more.
Hospitality: - Report time 6:30 a.m.  Hosting and keeping the refreshment area in order.  Answering questions and helping participants find their way around the start/finish area.
Course Marshals - Volunteers are needed along the route to cheer-on participants and monitor corners to insure participants navigate the course safely and correctly.  Report time 7:00 a.m. for a safety briefing with the Arlington County Police.  (Marshals must be at least 21 years old but can be joined by younger volunteers.)  After the safety briefing, Marshals will be dispersed to their specific intersections.  Orange traffic barrels will be at all intersectons to assist in blocking traffic during the race.
Marshal Coordinators:  Report time is 7:00 a.m.  Marshal Coordinators will be in charge of 6-8 Course Marshals and their intersections.  They will check up on the volunteers assigned to block specific intersections and fill in as needed.  Bicycle availability is strongly recommended. 
Tear Down/Clean Up - Report time 9:00 a.m.  Taking down signage, tables, trash pick-up, and anything needed to leave the race site in pristine condition.

All volunteers will receive an Arlington Bunny Hop shirt to remember the experience and let others know you gave your time to a great event and wonderful cause.  (Sizes and availability can't be guaranteed.)
